bios[0] = 'Lisa Anne Bailey (Marmee) has been involved in community theatre for over 30 years, as a director, choreographer and actress.  A nine time WATCH Award nominee, her favorite directing credits include <i>Sideshow, La Cage Aux Folles</i> and <i>Suburb</i> (WATCH award)at ESP; <i>Children of a Lesser God, Cabaret, A Funny Thing Happened</i> (WATCH Nomination) and <i>City of Angels</i> (WATCH Nomination) at RCP, as well as <i>That Championship Season</i> for RTP. On-stage faves include "Mimi" in <i>A New Brain</i> (WATCH Nomination), "Judy/ Ginger" in <i>Ruthless</i> (WATCH Award), "Maggie" in <i>Shadow Box</i> (WATCH Award), "Fanny Brice" in <i>Funny Girl</i> (WATCH Nomination) and "Peter" in <i>Peter Pan</i>. 'Bob Chaves (Mr. Laurence)  For over twenty years Bob has played lead and supporting roles with area community theatre groups in addition to serving as a board member, board president, and producer.  Some favorite rolls include:  Clarence (the guardian angel) in <i>It\'s A Wonderful Life</i> (Elden Street Theatre for Young Audiences); Jacob in <i>Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat</i>, and Col. Pickering in <i>My Fair Lady</i>, both with TAP; Charles Condomine in <i>Blythe Spirit</i> (Carriage House Theatre); Henry in <i>Misdirected</i> (Encore Players) opposite wife Roberta, Neville in <i>Secret Garden</i> (RCP): and Lloyd (the director) in <i>Noises Off</i> (TFT).  Congratulations to all who have been involved in bringing the classic characters of <i>Little Women</i> to life here on the Alden stage.';

bios[2] = 'Roberta Chaves (Aunt March)   Roberta is excited to be back with MCP and honored to be part of this talented cast and crew.   She was recently seen in VTC\'s <i>Grand Night for Singing</i>.   She has been in theatre for over 25 years.  She loves all her roles.  Some of her favorites:  "Dottie" in <i>Noises Off</i> with TFT;  "Annie" in <i>Misdirected</i> with Encore Players; "Elvira" in <i>Blythe Spirit</i> with Carriage House, all opposite her wonderful and talented hubby, Bob.  Her portrayal of "Queen of Hearts" in <i>Alice in Wonderland</i> earned her a Ruby Griffith Best Actress nomination.  A special thanks to Bill for allowing me to be part of this wonderful production and a special hug to Bob. No. 19th show and counting!   ';

bios[3] = 'Maddy Curtis (Beth March) is a rising senior at LVHS, and is thrilled to make her MCP debut with such an amazing cast and crew. She has recently been seen in roles such as: Nancy in <i>Oliver!</i>, Cousin Hebe in <i>H.M.S. Pinafore</i>, Johanna in <i>Sweeney Todd</i>, Joanna in <i>Godspell</i>, and Eponine in <i>Les Miserables</i>. Maddy also received the great honor of being the very first Golden Ticket winner of this Season\'s American Idol. She would like to thank her family, Steady Eddie, friends, Bill Schreiner for bringing out the best in her, and especially God for all that He has done in her life.';

bios[4] = 'Mark Hamberger (John Brooke) is happy to be performing with MCP for the second time. He was last seen on the Alden Theatre stage as Seymour in <i>Little Shop of Horror</i>s in 2007. Other recent credits include <i>West Side Story</i> and <i>Into the Woods</i> at RMT, <i>A Funny Thing...Forum</i> at KAT 2nd Stage, <i>110 in the Shade, Urinetown, Company</i>, and <i>Kiss of the Spider Woman</i> at KAT, and a reprise of the role of Seymour in <i>Little Shop of Horrors</i> at the Lazy Susan Dinner Theater last fall. Mark has a BA in Theater from Indiana University of Pennsylvania and works for Washington National Opera. Thanks to Eric, Friends, and Family for their continuous love and support. ';

bios[5] = 'Glen North (Laurie Laurence) Glen is thrilled to be in his first production with the MCP! He will be starting his senior year at JMU in the fall. Glen\'s resume contains over 20 credits from school, community, and professional theatres and has had leading roles in shows such as <i>Seussical, The King and I, The Wizard of Oz, You\'re a Good Man Charlie Brown, Jesus Christ Superstar</i>, and more. Awards include Best High School Male and 1st place in musical theatre at the NATS vocal competition. Without the support of his family, friends, and teachers, none of this would have been possible. bios[6] = 'Mimi Preda (Jo March) is very excited to be performing with MCP again.  She has previously been seen at MCP in <i>Oliver!</i> (Nancy) and <i>Evita</i>.  Other roles include <i>I Love You, You\'re Perfect, Now Change</i> (Woman 2, RCP) and <i>Musical of Musicals</i> (June, ESP).  She is a graduate of the College of William and Mary where she performed in <i>Urinetown</i> (Ma Strong), and with the W&M Opera Workshop.  She would like to thank Bill for giving her the opportunity to play one of her favorite literary characters, and the amazing cast and crew for making this show such an incredible experience.  She would also like to thank her parents for their constant love and support.';

bios[7] = 'Jessie Roberts (Mrs. Kirk) is please to return to the Alden stage in this fun role. She last worked with MCP in <i>The Glass Menagerie</i> playing the role of Amanda, which earned her a WATCH nomination for Best Actress. She has also performed with Loudon Light Opera, Reston, Vienna, Springfield, and Elden community theater groups. She earned her MFA from Brandeis University. ';

bios[8] = 'June Schreiner (Amy March) is a rising junior at The Madeira School and is proud to be standing with her new sisters as Amy March...Moment Killer.  She has done many productions with RCP including <i>Urinetown</i> (Little Sally), <i>Seussical</i> (Jo Jo), <i>Honk</i> (Billy) and <i>Beauty and The Beast</i> (Chip). Other credits: <i>Snow Queen</i> (Gerde) and <i>Hansel and Gretel</i> (Gretel), Synetic Family; <i>Grey Gardens</i> (Jackie B. u/s), Studio Theater; <i>Bye Bye Birdie</i> (Ursela),TAP;  <i>The Crucible</i> (Betty), RCP.  She was recently invited to train with Synetic Theater, she is a student of the most amazing Lilia Slavova.  Thanks daddy for everything! ';

bios[9] = 'Brent Stone (Professor Bhaer) is happy to be back with MCP.  Recetly, he appeared as "Jidder" in ESP\'s <i>Musical of Musicals, the Musical</i> (WATCH Nomination).  With MCP, he portrayed "Ebenezer Scrooge" in <i>A Christmas Carol - The Musical</i>, Cole Porter in <i>Red, Hot and Cole</i> and Archibold Craven in <i>The Secret Garden</i>. Also seen as Otis Elwell in <i>Sweet Smell of Success</i>, Beverly Carlton in <i>The Man Who Came to Dinner</i> (WATCH Award), Benny Southstreet in <i>Guys and Dolls</i> with TAP, Georg Von Trapp in <i>The Sound of Music</i> (SMP), John Adams in <i>1776</i> (Lord of Life Players) and in <i>Swing on the Side</i> (Arlington Center for Dance).  Thanks to his wonderful family, Linda, Nick and Alex, for their patience and love.  ';

bios[10] = 'Jolene Vettese (Meg March) is happy to return to the Alden Stage with MCP. She has worked with RCP, LTA, VTC and CAST community theater groups among others in the area. She was last seen in <i>Curtains!</i> as Nikki (RCP).  She graduated from Syracuse University with a BFA in Musical Theatre and works by day as a Human Resources Generalist.  She would like to thank David, Emma, and Joey for their love and support and for letting her "play".';

bios[11] = 'Jerry Bonnes (Technical Director) has worked with MCP well over 100 times. Most recently he was Sound Designer for <i>The Glass Menagerie</i> and directed <i>The Art of Murder</i>.';

bios[12] = 'Blakeman Brophy (Assistant Music Director)\'s last association with MCP was as a seabee in the 1995 production of <i>South Pacific</i>.  Since then Blake has performed in thirty productions in the metro-DC area and directed three productions, most recently The <i>Trip to Bountiful</i> with RCP.  He has served as music captain/conductor for The Shakespeare Theatre and Washington Shakespeare Company.  It has been an honor and a pleasure to serve as second-chair to Elisa for this production - thanks, E, for the support, the confidence and the friendship!  Blake dedicates this production to Grandma Dorothy and baby Jonah.';

bios[13] = 'Chris Hardy (Lighting Design) Chris is a vagabond lighting designer/master electrician, who has been designing lights for community theaters in this region since the early 1970\'s. His recent efforts for MCP include design for <i>The Glass Menagerie</i> and <i>The Importance of Being Earnest</i>, master electrician for <i>Oliver!</i>  In other efforts in the area he has designed lights for <i>Wonder of the World</i> and <i>Split Second</i> for PCP; <i>Desperate Hours</i> for LTA; <i>Oklahoma!</i> for ACCT; <i>You\'re a Good Man, Charlie Brown, Children, The Last Five Years</i>, and <i>The Fantasticks</i> for SCT; and <i>Winnie the Pooh</i> for Adventure Theater. (Well, we did tell you that he is a vagabond, didn\'t we?)';

bios[14] = 'Anna Hawkins (Co-Sound Design) Anna started her career in theater in 1990, and has been busy ever since.  She has 9 awards for sound excellence, and 13 nominations for sound excellence.   Adding to this was an award from Fauquier Theater for sound in <i>Run for Your Wife.</i> This is Anna\'s third show with MCP, and she is happy to be back with the people working here.  This fall she will be working at Fauquier Theater, Pied Piper Theater, and will return to McLean Players in January, doing sound for <i>The Drowsy Chaperone.</i>';

bios[15] = 'Columba Hoban (House Manager) has managed the house for MCP and its predecessors on numerous occasions. Most recently, however, she acted as Producer for the first time on <i>It\'s a Wonderful Life</i> last December';

bios[16] = 'Charlotte Marson (Costume Design Team) working her first show with MCP. She, along with Judy Whelihan, recently received a WATCH nomination for costume work on RCP\'s <i>Curtains</i>.';

bios[17] = 'Terry Mittelman (Assistant Stage Manager) a natural born techie, has been stage managing since the age of 11. She is thrilled to be working with MCP at the Alden for the first time and wants to thank Bill, Don, Annie and Shayne for their guidance.  ';

bios[18] = 'Annie O\'Neill (Assistant Stage Manager) Annie is thrilled to be back with MCP in her fourth show having teched for <i>A Christmas Carol</i>, <i>The Glass Menagerie</i>, <i>Oliver!</i> and <i>It\'s a Wonderful Life</i>.  She was been active in theater on stage and backstage since 1997.';

bios[19] = 'Elisa Rosman (Music Director) has music directed extensively at community theaters in the DC-VA area and is proud to have received 5 WATCH nominations.   Credits include <i>Passion, Falsettos, Side Show</i>, and <i>Suburb</i> (ESP), <i>A New Brain</i> (FP), <i>I Love You, You\'re Perfect, Now Change, Urinetown, Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat, Honk!, A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum, Mame</i>, and <i>Merrily We Roll Along</i> (RCP).  Elisa is currently music directing <i>Merrily We Roll Along</i> for Theatre Lab in Washington, D.C.  Elisa has also music directed two Broadway Lights the Night benefits.  By day Elisa is a policy consultant on early childhood issues as well as mom to 4!';

bios[20] = 'Kayce Allison Schaffer (Combat Choreography) is a trained Actor Combatant with the Society of American Fight Directors. Proficient in Unarmed, Rapier & Dagger, Broadsword and Single Sword, she has also spent hours training in many other weapons including but not limited to Sword & Shield, Quarterstaff, Small Sword, Double Stick, Knife, and various forms of martial arts.   Kayce has spent most of her life involved in many aspects of theater, most recently seen as a featured dancer in MCP\'s production of <i>Jerry\'s Girls</i>. She had a ton of fun teaching the wonderful cast how to swing a sword! En Garde!';

bios[21] = 'Bill Schreiner (Director) has directed over thirty plays and musicals including a four year run at LA\'s famed comedy troupe, The Groundlings.  This production of <i>Little Women</i> marks a number of milestones for Bill  - his first show after a fifteen year hiatus, his D.C. Metro area directorial debut, and his first theatrical collaboration with his daughter, June.  ';

bios[22] = 'Linda Stone (Producer) is happy to have worked on this wonderful show and with this excellent team and hopes you enjoy the production. bios[24] = 'Judy Whelihan (Costume Design Team) has been working in community theater for about 15 years. Favorite shows include <i>Greater Tuna</i> and <i>The Rocky Horror Show</i>, WATCH award winners for costumes, <i>Blood Brothers,  Three Tall Women, Accomplice</i> (WATCH nominee special effects), <i>Dinner with Friends</i>, (all ESP),  I (VTC), <i>Kin, the Trial of Carrie Buck</i> (Sundial) as well as  <i>1776, Working, The Laramie Project, Mame, The Crucible, Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat,  Beauty and the Beast Bus Stop, The Full Monty</i> and <i>Curtains</i> (WATCH nominee costumes)(RCP).  She has also costumed many Theater for Young Audiences productions for ESP.';

bios[25] = 'Bob Zeigler (Sound Design, Master Carpenter) has enjoyed working with MCP and other community groups. Among his lighting credits are <i>It\'s A Wonderful Life</i> (a Radio Play); <i>A Christmas Carol The Musical; Stop The World - I Want To Get Off, Over The River and Through The Woods</i>, and <i>Copenhagen</i>. He shares theater love with Joan (the real thespian in the family) and their chihuahua Breanna.';
